It's Hot and Humid. Let's Move Anyway!

half standing, half lying 40 minute yoga practice

Another Sunday Replay for ya! We kept it fun and informal as there were just a few of us practicing on this hot, soupy day. Sound quality is good throughout, but video loses sharpness at the 25:40 mark because the camera ran out of memory so I spliced in the Zoom recording. Hopefully you won’t even notice–you’ll be too busy winding down, relaxing on your mat.

  • begins with a standing warm up of bouncy moving chair followed by dynamic “over-the-fence” stretches

  • short intro to the standing sequence postures/transitions

  • a bit of time to familiarize yourself with the parts and find your preferred options before stringing them all together

  • slow flow through the standing sequence once on each side: chair, options for standing balance, hands down lunge, warrior 2, channel your inner superhero in skandasana, wide-legged forward fold (possibly opting for the novel down dog hybrid version)

  • lie down on your mat to stretch, cool down and relax with time to put your legs up in the air and play around in a mild, reclined inversion
